AI’s Dehumanizing Power

If you read my articles, they are all about the power of AI, embracing tech transformation for a cause and positive influence on our lives. It prompts frictionless seamless experiences for our daily lives. I still stand in my direction after shifting my career path to digital transformation and technology during Covid. This has been the best decision ever since. The daily evolution of the tech spectrum is doing nothing but exponentially driving my thirst for the next big evolution(s).

If you know me as well, you will know very well that I use Gen AI in almost all of my work streams and processes, but I refrain from using it in my articles, I do so because I believe my 40 years in this life is unique to me and my experiences and thoughts cannot be replicated by any machine. Each human will always have a unique flavor, something Gen AI can’t replicate, at least until now.

But a newly acquired AI power I am noticing lately is its new gained grounds for dehumanizing humans. It started with our own experiential avatars and digital twins, who didn’t try them! Right?! They claimed to give us unique identity based on our interests but not quite as they psychologically distanced us from our own realities, the realities that makes is exist in the present space and time.

Beyond that, we see today algorithms pushing boundaries during tough times time. October 2023 sparked a war that spilled out of dimensions to cross global borders, it became so powerful every human in the world is affected by it, either economically or financially and surely mentally. This war had by far the highest reach and engagement, more than WWI and WWII, an estimated reach 4.48 billion people based on the population connected on social media alone. And this war has not been televised or radio transmitted, it has been led by AI.

Algorithms, IoT, web spiders and Gen AI are leading the communication for this dirty war and have reached new heights of influence, de-humanizing death, and stealing away the sanity and mental health of those who are alive. In a connected world you are inhuman if you disconnect from whatever is happening around you and if you are connected you lose your soul in the process, there are no winners when negative non-validated news is overtaking the web. All losses are reiterated through the limitless power of the non-validated information of the worldwide web, that is being pushed in our direction by the power of AI and algorithms on social.

The world wide web needs to be regulated, and Gen AI pauses huge risks without automating a process for ensuring non-biased validations. Without this, human progress is at a huge risk of failure with misleading information and tainted realities.

AI can never be human, but the truth is AI has misled and dehumanized every living cell of our human beings.

Peace out!
